The backstory
Once upon a time...It all began in 2016 when a farmer asked Hayden to figure out a way of remotely measuring and managing a tobacco curing tunnel.
Hayden immediately thought, "there must be something off-the-shelf that can solve this."
But after several months of trialling one thing after the other Hayden got nowhere. And then he got "nerd-sniped" by the problem. "There must be a good solution to this problem, that comes in at the right price point", he thought.
He spent the next 2 years developing a way of gathering data from the barn and then using that data to actuate devices that
would regulate the tunnel conditions.
Realising that he had built a low-cost, high quality SCADA system, able to work in 4G-limited settings, he set about expanding
the offering to solve process control problems elsewhere. Today, the initial concept, developed in his man-cave during lockdown,
has expanded to exciting new products in farming, mining, healthcare, retail and heavy industry.

CTOHayden leads Ryzosens' technology development. With a Masters in Machine Learning and a PhD in physics,
as well as over a decade in working with exciting startups, Hayden has turned previously turned
4 passion-projects into real-world products.
Hayden leads the teams developing hardware, software and data science to keep Ryzosens'
products at the cutting edge of innovation.

Installations and customer supportTaurayi has been with Ryzosens from the very start. A stalwart electrician and Macgyver-of-installations, he does alot of bespoke work to get complex solutions working on-site.
He's also the first port of call when clients have technical questions. Given that we work with humans, not poorly trained LLM bots, we couldn't do without him!
