Safety, efficiency and profitability on a mine depend on good processes working along-side high quality data.
Mines often rely on enormous amounts of manual data recording that is prone to human error and outright dishonesty and lazyness.
Moreover, data is often stored in many different places in an inconsistent way, leading to information loss, and error resulting from
data not being consistent and standardised.
Effective process control is often limited by data availability and quality: Machine service-schedules are poorly timed, or reactive
rather than preventative. Different departments share a common power supply leading to an internal "tragedy of the commons"
Processes are manually controlled, leading to inconsistency in outcome.
The solution
Our mining SCADA product allows a large number of processes to be measured and controlled, giving senior management total
visibility on a mining operation. Data is aggregated We know that not
all processes can be automated, which is why we build custom data capture procedures that allow automated data to be
combined with manual data.
All data is aggregated using long range radio frequencies over distances of up to 5km. That means no cables for
trucks or people to accidentally damage.
We know that mining information can be sensitive. Our online system allows selective visibility depending on a user's role. This
means people only see on the system what is relevant to their task and nothing else.
Water
Water management on farms is tricky. That's why we've built our agricultural product to address
the full life cycle of real-world water problems.
That means measuring water flow from source (eg. river, borehole, dam, municipal) and quantifying
it accurately. It means managing soil moisture, feeding information back to pivot systems
and integrating measurements with satellite and drone footage.
And since water is not a stand-alone issue, our water management systems also speak
to (and integrate with) our crop management system.

Processes
Some types of mine are process-heavy.
